2023 annual meeting held April 22

Thank you to all who attended our Annual General Membership meeting, helping to make it another successful event in our short history as the 48th organized neighborhood in Palm Springs. A special thank you to Mario Bucacci-Pezzullo for his service to the Board and welcome to our newest Board member, Kristen Maschka.

Mayor Grace Garner and police Lt. Mike Villegas (shown during and prior to the meeting) and our district council member, Lisa Middleton, joined us at the Pavilion in Sunrise Park for the meeting. You can see the full agenda on our documents page, where we also will post the minutes once approved by the new Board.

First neighborhood social

Our group held its first social gathering on Saturday, July 31, 2021, drawing about 25 neighbors and friends. Several newcomers joined many long-time residents to become acquainted with their neighbors. Everyone was thrilled to spend some time outdoors on what was a relatively comfortable and not too humid summer evening.

The Canyon Palms Board of Directors provided snacks and beverages, and there were delicious home-made desserts to enjoy. We thank the residents of Lobo Way for hosting our event outside their Canyon Palms homes. We look forward to enjoying other events with even more of our Canyon Palms members in the fall.

Meet Lisa Middleton

The campaign to re-elect Lisa Middleton to the City Council has added a virtual event specifically for Canyon Palms, which is in her District 5. Although Council Member Middleton is running unopposed, she is hoping that you will be able join this event to share your questions, ideas and concerns.

Date: Thursday, October 29, 2020

Time: 5:30 – 6:30 PM

David Vignolo, the secretary and official representative to ONE-PS for Canyon Palms, is hosting the event, billed as a virtual house party. It is open to the public – you don’t have to live in the neighborhood. But you must register in advance by clicking this link in order to receive the Zoom meeting invitation.
